AES Communications Rio de Janeiro S.A. (AES Com) is a telecom operator specialized in local access solutions for voice, data and multimedia applications. Its own fiber optical network extends from Rio de Janeiro’s metropolitan area to four neighboring cities.

The primary objective of AES Com is to provide telecommunications infrastructure to fixed carriers, mobile operators, value-added and Internet service providers with the highest quality. Surely, it is the best choice for our customers and for the community - one of the most important regional economies in Latin America.

AES Com secondary goal is to commercialize clear channels to corporations which operate their internal private networks.

Our main product for wholesale market is called AES Com Local Access (AES Com-LAC). Out of our 7,000 end users, 95% are attended by AES Com-LAC, which is used by telecom operators and Internet service providers. After launching its MetroEthernet launching in 2006, new products were developed. Among them we can find AES Com Ethernet Local Access (AES Com – ELA), AES Com Virtual Private Network Ethernet (AES Com – VPNE) and AES Com Ethernet Multiplex (AES Com – EMUX).

AES Com is recognized by the customers for its business flexibility and its outstanding quality of service. The use of the local electricity company’s infrastructure to deploy the optical network, makes possible a constant expansion of AES Com capillarity, at a competitive cost and short delivery time.
