At the very beginning, AES Com’s typical product was point-to-point circuits with bandwidth equal or greater than 2 Mbps (>=E1). Along the years, the company expanded its product portfolio with many other solutions.

The offer of optical fiber circuits in 64Kbps multiples was made economically possible by the deployment of PoPs. They can be delivered either channelized or unchannelized in an E1 circuit. Other options are also available such as the type of electrical interface: G703 for voice applications and V35 for data services.

STM-1 (155 Mbps) circuits can be offered with either electrical or optical interfaces and according to the intended application can be delivered either as one single circuit (VC4) or as a channel of E1s (63 x VC12). Similar options are also available for higher speeds such as STM-4 (622 Mbps) and STM-16 (2.5 Gbps).

Point-to-point circuits are also provided in MetroEthernet technology. Depending on the application, Ethernet links present several advantages:

-          Avoid the cost of a CPE router

-          Have the bandwidth upgraded remotely, in minutes

-          Permit more than one “virtual circuit” in one single interface and many others.

Ethernet circuits can be offered from 64 Kbps up to 1 Gbps.

Besides point-to-point circuits, AES Com can also offer Ethernet VPNs and Ethernet Multiplex services. Ethernet VPN can link several branches of a company as they are connected to the same local area network.

MetroEthernet Multiplex service permits a single Ethernet port to address traffic to different destinations such as to another branch, to the extranet and to the Internet, for example. It also permits an operator to concentrate traffic from several final customers on a single, high capacity, delivery port.

A variation of multiplex connection -  the AES Com-EMux service - was specially developed to be ideal backhaul solution for mobile 3G networks.
