In the future

AES Com Rio de Janeiro intends to grow revenues and business from our market over the next 3 years by:

• Providing higher capacity SDH and Ethernet circuits for multimedia traffic.
• The increasing use of broadband access to the Internet in Brazil has impact on AES Com business. Each day videos and other multimedia applications are becoming more and more popular to Internet users, specially the young ones.

• Increasing the geographical coverage of our MetroEthernet network.
• The MetroEthernet network deployed in 2006 covers the main business area of Rio de Janeiro city. It has been constantly expanded until it catches up with the same coverage of SDH network.

• Launching of new products based on different technologies
• AES Com is always researching and developing new local access solutions for operators and ISPs. Currently, an in-building access solution for condominiums using broadband power line technology is being beta tested on real customers.

• In 2009, products based upon IP/MPLS technology will be launched. The new network will bring new options to connect Node B sites to RNCs in 3G networks and will support carriers’ IP products with alternative ways to reach the final customer.
